World AIDS Day is recognized today - December 1st, in different countries all over the world.
This year's theme is "Getting to Zero" - meaning zero new infections, zero new AIDS related deaths and zero discrimination.
Be a part of the movement by helping your friends and family - encourage them to get tested to know their status. There will be free testing available in different areas...for those of us in Kingston JA - you can go by Emancipation Park as the Jamaica Red Cross will be conducting free HIV testing and counseling on spot. Or visit/call your local hospital.
This is a very critical issue for all of us and it is very important for us to know and our own status.
In addition to knowing our status, we also need to be aware of all the precautionary measures we need to take and to be responsible for ourselves.
Let's all work together to improve the quality of lives for person's living with HIV and AIDS...Remember zero DISCRIMINATION!
