If you are planning an out of town or Destination Wedding, you may be considering a goodie/welcome bag for your guests...but what goes into these welcome bags?
Let's explore all the possible options for items to include in your welcome bags and how to make them unique.
1. The most important part of the welcome bag...is the bag itself!
We love personalized bags - totes, baskets, recycled bags, and there are many ways to achieve this.
Stamps, labels, tags, digital printing, embroidery are all possible ways to personalize the vessel for your goodies.
2. Welcome your guests with a lovely note, thanking them for attending your wedding. Make sure to include the schedule of events before and after the wedding along with contact information for your wedding planner/coordinator and members of the bridal party. This allows you to be as creative as you want and to include as much personal information...so your guests will get to know you a little better.
3. You certainly want to keep your guests hydrated! Bottled water is always essential to include. Want to get fancy? Personalized labels for your water bottles can surely make your welcome bag look awesome!
4. Give your guests an idea of what their surroundings are like...a map is key! Maps are usually available from your local tourist board, gas station or you could ask your hotel to assist you with this.
5. A little booze can make the experience more fun! Include small bottles of local wine, rums or other spirits...allow your guests to get a feel of the culture of their destination. Consider teas or coffee too.
6. Sweet or salty snacks will complement your item 5 above. Nuts, fresh fruit, cheese, crackers, chips & dip are possible ideas.
7. After items 5 & 6, the morning-after essentials - pain relievers, antacids etc might be well-appreciated!
8. Make your guests feel more comfortable with flip-flops, nice lotion, sunscreen, lip balm or plush towels.
Designs By Nishy can create welcome bags suitable for your wedding, making it as simple or fancy as you need it to be.
We will provide all the items, assemble each bag, deliver to your respective hotels, and arrange for your guests to receive them, in their rooms upon arrival.
